Finally the answer to buffing lines left after the final stage of polishing.  The hardest technique to perfect as a polisher is leaving as less buffing lines/marks as possible when doing your final stage.  I've found a quick and easy way to remove over 90% of the buffing lines.

What's included:

  • One (or 2)  8 oz. jar of bright work blue finishing metal polish
  • One lake country 4 ¾” diameter hook & loop backing plate
  • One sm arnold 6” wool pad
  • Four ultra soft bonnets
  • One two-pack of microfiber applicators

Notes: you can select W/O the backing plate and applicators if you already have them.  Also if working on larger surfaces like tankers you may need a second jar of Blue polish, and extra bonnets. (sold separately)

Instructions:

  1.  Using the metal polish very sparingly, apply with the microfiber applicator a light coating to the  surface being polished. (***see note below.)
  2.  Mount the hook & loop backing plate included in the kit to your orbital polisher. place the 6” wool pad  also included in the kit to the backing plate.
  3.  Stretch the ultra-soft bonnet over the 6” pad. note: this will be a very snug fit, but such is necessary  to keep the bonnet from spinning off.
  4.  Using the orbital polisher, go over the surface area until relatively clean.
  5.  Remove the used bonnet from the 6” wool pad and stretch a second clean ultra-soft bonnet over  the  pad.
  6.  Polish the surface again to remove any remaining residue and finish the process.
